The M05 field jacket is designed for the forests of Finland. The M05 field jacket has been developed to meet the technical requirements of the Finnish Defence Forces, combining durability and functionality with a modern camouflage pattern. The material of this jacket not only meets, but partially exceeds the requirements of the technical specification set by the Defence Forces.
The terrain pattern printed on the fabric is designed based on images taken from Finnish nature by the Finnish State Forest Research Institute. The visual colors correspond to the colors of the Finnish forest terrain. The terrain pattern is designed to correspond to the reflection of the Finnish forest also at IR frequencies, and the fabric reflects IR light at wavelengths of 700-1200 nm, on average, the reflection of the Finnish forest. The forest pattern has four colors: light green, dark green, brown and charcoal gray.
The jacket is loose fitting, like the military. In cool weather, a sweater and several layers of other warmth are suitable under the field jacket.
