The Lonex reinforced Version 2 MP5 gearbox with 8 mm ball bearings is made from a highly durable and thoroughly tested metal alloy. The front section of the gearbox shell has been reinforced with additional material to withstand more powerful springs. This reduces the likelihood of cracking at the front of the shell-a common issue especially with Version 2 gearboxes, particularly in cold weather. Due to these reinforcements, this gearbox is not compatible with selector plates from other manufacturers without modifying the front of the plate.
Although the gearbox has been reinforced, we still recommend installing a Sorbothane pad on the cylinder head to help absorb impact.
