6.01 mm is a very tight diameter for an airsoft precision barrel. The diameter of an airsoft bullet is 5.95 mm +- 0.01 mm, which means that an airsoft bullet can be 5.96 mm in size. In this case, the clearance between the barrel and the bullet is 0.05 mm and if the bullet passes in the middle of the barrel, there is only 0.025 mm clearance between the bullet and the barrel. With a 6.01 mm barrel, we are very close to the situation where the bullet gets stuck in the barrel if there is even a small quality deviation in the barrel. For this reason, Da Vinci barrels are manufactured with a tolerance of +-0.005 mm, which is the best quality available for airsoft barrels. Da Vinci is convinced that plastic airsoft bullets, with a dimensional accuracy of 6.01 +- 0.005mm, are the best choice when it comes to achieving maximum muzzle velocity and minimizing air leaks in an airsoft gun, while still maintaining good accuracy.
