The Cyma CM.706-OD design is based on the L96 model series used by the British Army, which has become very familiar to everyone from the Counter Strike game series, for example. Cyman models its firearms world prototype nicely, which goes by the model name L115A3. The weapon's structure is sturdy and the fit of the barrel and the receiver to the reinforced polymer stock is rigid. All parts except the stock are made of metal.
The front of the weapon has an adapter for the front legs. The weapon has a folding buttstock that makes it easier to transport, with a length adjustment and a rubber buttplate. The cheekpiece is height-adjustable. The buttstock has an integrated monopod, which together with the front legs gives the weapon good shooting support. The weapon has five metal attachment points for attaching a carrying strap. On top of the weapon's lock frame there is a standard RIS compatible weaver rail for attaching a sight. Operational reliability has also been improved with an empty magazine indicator, which means the shooter always knows whether a bullet is ready to be fired.
The weapon's 480mm long inner barrel combined with the mechanism based on the sniper rifle technology familiar from the Cyma M24 model series ensures accurate shots. The weapon's hop-up is adjustable and its settings can be accessed via an adjustment screw found in the magazine well.
The magazine capacity of the gun is 25 bullets.
Parts compatibility:
The Cyma L96 series differs from the models from Maruzen and Well in terms of the mechanism. Most of the parts of the mechanism are based on the solutions of the proven reliable Cyma M24 model series. For this reason, spare and tuning parts for the new gun model are already widely available from, for example, AirsoftPro.
