The steel-framed Cyma AKS-74UN replica airsoft gun is a compact replica with a sturdy folding stock. The forehand grip of the gun is made of real wood and combined with the steel frame makes the gun not only durable but also stylish. On the left side of the frame, there is a Russian-style side wedge, as in the prototype, to which you can attach Russian side wedge-mounted sights or additional accessory rails. At the end of the short barrel there is a metal flash suppressor, which can be unscrewed, revealing 14mm negative (CCW) threads for attaching a silencer. The gun has an adjustable hop-up, which ensures a long and accurate range. The hop-up can be adjusted by pulling the gun's charging handle, revealing the hop-up unit adjustment mechanism underneath. The gun's battery compartment is located under the box lid, where all AK-style stick batteries fit.

The AK-74 (Russian: Автомат Калашникова, образца 1974 года , Avtomat Kalashnikova, obraztsa 1974 goda ) is an assault rifle chambered for the 5.45×39 mm cartridge, designed and manufactured with many improvements based on the actual mass-produced model of the AK-47, the AKM ( Avtomat Kalashnikova Modernizirovannyi ), which is currently in use by the Russian army, among others.
In 1979, a version of the AKS-74u carbine with a folding stock and a shortened barrel was developed for paratroopers and tank crews.
