The CM040H is a metal-framed airsoft replica model based on the modernized version of the popular Russian model AKS-74UN. The modernized version differs from the classic model in the tactical RIS forend and a rear sight that allows for better adjustment options. The RIS rail system on the front of the weapon allows for the attachment of accessories directly to the weapon.
The gun's frame, cover, trigger guard, shifter plate and flame deflector are made of steel. Other metal parts, such as the outer barrel and front sight, are made of aluminum alloy (ZnAl). The gun's pistol grip, stock and magazine are made of polymer.
The weapon's mechanism is built around the proven Cyma version 3 gearbox, which contains metal 7mm bearings, steel gears, and a reinforced piston and spring rest.
