The AW Custom HX1001 is a gas-operated GBB pistol designed for IPCS shooting. The HX1001 is special because of its two-piece "split-slide" slide, which significantly reduces the mass of the slide that is moved by gas pressure. This mass reduction significantly speeds up the slide movement and makes the HX1001 a very high-performance Gas BlowBack pistol. The mechanism of the weapon is based on the Tokyo Marui Hi-capa mechanism, which makes various spare and tuning parts easily available for the weapon.
The frame and slide are made of high-quality metal, except for the grip plates, which are made of textured polymer. The high-quality finish and fit of the parts, as well as the excellent design of the mechanism, make the HX1001 GBB an excellent airsoft pistol in all areas.
